IJM 0 -3 AFCSM...6th March 2009

Match played at Matsushita Stadium...

a lot was said in the aftermath of this game, since only 7 ppl were ready at kickoff and we had to borrow 4 of the opponents' players initially...Long story short, we're not gonna kick-off at 8pm on a weeknite again...

But we deserved the win, and I have to say for the first (and only) time, I played well for AFCSM. I played rightback in this game.

Another first, I was yellow-carded, for a late tackle (honestly, no malice), and some bugger got yellow-carded for slapping the back of my head...good refereeing...The referee also reminded me of the earlier caution when he saw me sliding in to tackle more than a few times later...hehe...

Masters Football Asia, 7th December 2008

The Masters Football Asia tournament, featuring ex-EPL players, had 4 teams, namely Liverpool, MU, Arsenal and an EPL All-Stars team.

Liverpool, powered by Rush, finished champs, followed by All-Stars, Man Utd and Arsenal. Arsenal lost all 3 games...sob, sob...


It was a thrill to watch the veterans, and my kids had fun too...

Carlsberg-LSCM 4 vs 4 Futsal tourney, 6th Dec 08

In conjunction with the Masters Football Tourney on 7th Dec 2008, Liverpool Supporters Club of M'sia organized a futsal tournament and invited AFCSM to play.

Since Shahnaz could come and we had enough people, I decided not to play. I brought my gear anyway, in case someone couldn't make it.

Turns out, everyone came and I thought I could relax and just watch the action. However, when the organizers heard I brought my gear, they asked me to play in a makeshift team because some teams pulled out last minute. I obliged, and just as I entered the pitch, someone said "Hey, Embi can be the goalie!" Aisehmen, so I did play goalie in the first game, against Celtic supporters, which we lost. I didn't play the second group game.

Meanwhile AFCSM lost both group games, 1-3 and 3-6.

Meeting Ray Parlour again, 13th October 2008

Ray Parlour was in town again to promote the Masters Football tourney.

The organisers contacted Anand and asked if Arsenal fans would like to meet him personally to get autographs or just to take photo and chat, then we are all welcome to go to his hotel.

So of course, I went, this time with my family in tow.

LSCM 13-1 AFCSM, 23rd August 2008

kaw-kaw kena...

game was at Pusat Latihan Bank Pertanian Bangi, their home...

i didn't expect a win for AFCSM, but i didn't expect such a battering as well...

well, AFCSM players hardly know each other, while LSCM (Liverpool Supporters Club Malaysia) play regularly...

i played keeper for awhile before Suku's fren came on...he was much better, but still couldn't prevent a landslide...hahaha...Paidiya Rao even scored from almost the middle of the pitch...

Mazlan scored our consolation in the last minute...great goal too...
